If I were going to Ginnie, I think I'd stay in Gainesville.  The University 
of Florida's there, with its amenities......direct flights, taxis, 
restaurants, etc.
I used to fly my own plane into Lake City the night before a dive (only a 
moron waits til the morning because of early morning fog).  Believe it or 
not, there usually wasn't any taxi service on Friday nights.
