subject: FULL SCREEN FORM

It came to pass on 12/23/96 that MATTER AL-ABBAS wrote concerning Full screen
form...

MA> PLS. Advice me how not to let all of this appear on the FORM : File,
MA> Edit, View, Records, Window, Help.
You need to define a menu macro for the form.
MA> By other meaning: How to DESIGN the FORM to fill up the screen from
MA> total top point ..to.. the total bottom point.
Messy business...
The best thing to do is to creat a form with no border, make it slightly
larger that the screen size (assuming you know what it is) and display
is centred. This won't go from top to bottom (impossible basically) but
it does stop users from selecting other forms behind it.
Press F11 to bring up the database window to make changes to the form.
This will only work if you know the screen size of the person that will
be using the program... i.e. 640x480, 800x600... etc
Also, you'll have to make sure the program is maximised before you
display the form. You can do this with a sendkeys statement, I think
you need to send a CTRL+, but I'm not too sure. The command is
displayed in any window's control box menu.
I know this is a bit of a compromise, but I've tried to do what you are
describing and know that it is ugly, messy and hard to control and
impliment. The rough plan of what I described is the best way out. I've
been doing this for about 2 years now and I have learned that sometimes
you just have to work within what Access can do. If you want full
screen control, Access wont do it.
