I'm not an expert in multiplexed Access technology (CDMA, TDMA, FDMA, etc..)
but from what I know of it.. I'd say that they simply are not compatible
in any way, they all use totally different schemes,  and a cell phone
company can only accomodate one type of system (its either you install
the CDMA circuits or the TDMA circuits, etc..  I guess they could
one day develop a "converter" or "interface" circuit (actually, no,
I dont even think thats possible so forget it..)
