Hello Tom! 03 Jan 04 07:11, you wrote to me: TW> -> 02 Jan 04 08:47, you wrote to Thurston Ackerman: TW> -> TW> -> Do I recall correctly that PowerQuest sold Drive TW> -> TW> -> Image to Norton and they put it up on a back room TW> -> TW> -> shelf when they acquired Ghost??? TW> -> TW> I don't think so. Will have to take a look at the Power Quest TW> Web TW> -> TW> site later today and verify that one. TW> -> Not really, PQ DriveImage is alive and well, the last version is TW> 7.0 (AFAIK) TW> -> and being sold for something like 80$. TW> Well apparently Thurston Ackerman was RIGHT. Symatec(Norton) has TW> Gobbled up Power Quest. There goes another excellent piece of Software TW> down the Toilet. Here is the Press Release I found. [press release skipped] I diasgree with "down the Toilet", symantec contiue to develop DI and it probably won't change than much, it just it will be Symantec DriveImage and not PowerQuest DriveImage (which isn't really that much of a difference). Come to think about it i disagree with "excellent piece of Software" too, but that is purely personal opinion :) Best Regards, Viktor (aka BlackDew) --- GoldED+/W32 1.1.4.7* Origin: BlackDew (bdew{at}mail.ru) (icq#15553279) (2:400/567) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 400/567 106/1 2000 633/267 |
