Paul, at 13:38 on May 11 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BG> The Courier doesn't have this quirk, so I no longer need to use ModemTrans. BG> I presume this means that the original BTPE was based upon the 2.50 source BG> code? PE> Yes, BTPE 3.0 was the "equivalent" of Binkley 2.50. So in other PE> words, 2.59 didn't work either, as I would have expected. I was actually using BTPE 3.0 until you attached v4.0, and when ModemTrans stopped working, I went back to 2.59, as I accidentally deleted BTPE 3.0, but because I changed to the Courier at exactly the same time, I was no longer using ModemTrans, and hadn't realised that it wouldn't have worked anyway. PE> Also, no matter which one you used, it would have worked up until a few PE> weeks ago when I had V34 added as a flag. Must be the way I've compiled the ModemDef statements then, because despite your V34 flag, BTPE 3.0 still accepted ModemTrans on the V32b flag as well. Perhaps ALL outbound calls to modems with with both V34 and V32b flags were using ModemTrans, and I hadn't realised it. No matter, all it did was to disable BUSY detect for that call anyway...
