I was actually using BTPE 3.0 until you attached v4.0, and when ModemTrans
stopped working, I went back to 2.59, as I accidentally deleted BTPE 3.0,
but because I changed to the Courier at exactly the same time, I was no
longer using ModemTrans, and hadn't realised that it wouldn't have worked
anyway.

Must be the way I've compiled the ModemDef statements then, because despite
your V34 flag, BTPE 3.0 still accepted ModemTrans on the V32b flag as well.
 Perhaps ALL outbound calls to modems with with both V34 and V32b flags
were using ModemTrans, and I hadn't realised it.  No matter, all it did was
to disable BUSY detect for that call anyway...
