BB> BB> But as far as 'run out of the box' thing forget it! Mounting and BB> BB> unmounting things is pain in the ass and if Windows had you doing that BB> BB> the Lx dudes would be laughing their ass off. BB> WC> You can edit a file and mount anything you like on boot or point BB> WC> and click mount it in KDE as root user. BB>Point is why should you have to 'edit a file' to mount things? I suppose BB>there's good reasons for it, but it sure is awkward. I've tried some hints BB>from the Knoppix FAQ and some other stuff off the net was well re mounting BB>things, but I can't get it to work. (Kinda like some of the foreplay one has to endure before making a home run, eh ?-) BB> WC> I'm running precisely that in Knoppix, same release of Mozilla BB> WC> as in Win 98 and Kmail is so far to me indistinguishable BB> WC> from Eudora. I identify with that but I can't understand why I can't get Kmail to send mail in my new SuSe 9.0 installation (keeps complaining it can only send text, no html 8-( BB> WC> Mozilla however runs better in Knoppix than in my Windows installation in the same machine on the same hard drive. Unfortunately my SuSe 9.0 bundle didn't include Mozilla (my favorite browser) so I downloaded "a-1686-pc-linux-mozilla.gnu-1.5-sea,tar.gz" for linux, from the Mozilla web site, but I can't get it to install in my SuSe. Any idea what foreplay it requires; or where I can get a copy that will install out-of-the box like the download of the "mozilla32-1.4-installer.exe" that works so well in my win98se systems please ???
