Hi mark. ml> how did you find out that filedescriptor 3 was connected to a ml> socket? one way to find that sort of info is ls -l /proc/$$/fd which will list the shell's file descriptors or ls -l /proc/self/fd which gives you ls's file desciptors (which will include the directory /proc/self/fd ) -=> Bye <=- ---* Origin: If at first you don't succeed, the hell with it.
