This is my second message, as I haven't seen my first
posted yet. I was trying to get ECS 1.1 to recognize
the LT modem in my Thinkpad T21. I downloaded the
drivers for the modem and installed them. It reported
it found the modem and initialized it as com1. My
diallers could not access it, even though the hardware
manager reported the modem as com1.

I am sending this note on my thinkpad as I found the
solution to be to REM the SIO driver lines UART.SYS,
SIO2K.SYS and VSIO2K.SYS. With these disabled, the
modem works!

Anyone know why?
