You're one of the few Agent email users I've met, and the only one using
Agent 2. So I'll request a few data points:

Norton doesn't handle Agent email "as email," right?  It's just
intercepting the file save?  What version of Norton?  Is there any chance
it "intercepted" the save and blasted the file?  Inquiring minds
want to know, and you might save the next poor b*stard from disaster.
