It's normal for post-W98 systems to blue screen if you boot them after changing the motherboard. It's because the NT family configures itself with the correct drivers for the hardware during setup. Those drivers don't work on the new system. There are some ugly and time-consuming workarounds. Frankly, the most practical would be a new install. Assuming the data on the disk is important, I would buy a new drive and do a new install on that. With the old drive connected as a second disk, you will be able to access all the data on it. Except: If you used EFS to encrypt any files you have a problem. Remember to apply SP4 to W2000 and all patches before exposing the computer to the wild...
