MP> A blinded study is where the recipient of the test medication is
MP> unaware of what the medication is (sometimes it is a placebo).
MP> A double blind study is where the evaluator of the response is also
MP> unaware of what med (or placebo) is given.
MP> A crossover study is where in a double blind study, the test med is
MP> switcvhed with the placebo and the before and after results are
MP> compared.
Thanks. I can see where this all is very important in determining that
the outcome is not mentally affected and coming up with the proper conclu-
sions. Do they usually do all three studies in research or just one?
Which one is usually done most?
