Here in the US, bicyclists have an inhererant right to the right lane
closest to the shoulder. In fact they have the right to use the entire
lane.
Maybe traffic laws are different there, but I would go to court and explain
that to the Judge... that conditions forced you to use the road...
90% of the time you will walk away scott free...
then again the cop was being (errr) a swantz....
