I( am having the same Problem. I went up to Hemet California and picked
up my sisters 286 to change th battery in it. Have had it 3 days now and
jsut cannot get moving. In fact I haven't even ordered the soldered in
type battery from Radio Shack yet.


-> Well I hate driving which made the 2 1/2 hour trip back to the
-> country unpleasant but it was good to see my younger children
-> and my sister and brother. I checked up on the kitten while I
-> was there. :-) 

 I am going to try a 1200 mile trip over into Arizona. Depending on the
outcome that might ne my LAST overnight Driving trip.
