have had you point that out and that an later version of a particular
piece of software avoids that problem, and have NOT either upgraded

I was aware that you had fixed a problem concerning ORIGIN lines and
was sure that I was not producing messages WITH EMBEDDED ORIGIN lines,
and it made considerable sense in the situation where the change was
not thoroughly tested, to wait until it had been tested more thoroughly
and see if there had been any subtle blemishes introduced as well.

that I dont give a rats arse about whether I send you an out of spec message.

In fact I SPECIFICALLY mentioned to you an example of where YOUR CODE
was producing an out of spec message, when that was pointed out to me.
If I didnt give a rats arse about out of spec messages, there would be no
point in pointing those out to you, coz they were clearly getting out into
Fido fine or the person who pointed that out to me could not have done so.

You might also care to contemplate how you look to someone
who KNOWS he doesnt deliberately send out of spec messages.
