Not exactly simply people with itchy feet.
 
You talk of them as if every one of them was a simple person with simple 
needs.  If that was so, we would not see the high crime rate they create both 
amongst themselves and against the public at large, as well as th damage to 
the fabric of society.I had a great tolerance for them but the habits of the 
group as a whole stink. As a group they include thieves, gang members, felons 
and perverts and yes a few "good unfortunate people". Wanderlust has nothing 
to do with urinating in the streets, begging for "food" or theft, all common 
among the homeless population.
The internal crime of the group is similar to black on black crime in nature. 
A seasrch of a homeless camp for valuables stolen in 91 revealed some 
disusting facts about lifestyle and the famous dumpster diving
edibles kept in a trash bag with maggots  eating them
That's the real side of it. The side I worked daily.
Of course Nashville is a magnet for all sorts of people including a very 
large and evident homeless population. Social programs abound  but they as a 
group are a drain oncommunity resources in a very large way
