subject: 12v problems

-> I've replaced the PS on one of my PCs a few days ago, and noticed the HD
-> drives started heating _much_ more than previously. I remember reading
-> somewhere some time ago that this can be cause by the 12v line producing more
-> than 12v - and indeed it seems to be arround 12.11v.

-> The question is - can i splice in a small resitor that will make take it a bit
-> below 12v? Will it be safe to do?

12.11 is Well within the operating specifications of Hard Drives. I
would look elsewhere for a cause of the overheating. Did you Change
the Air Flow Pattern over the Hard Drive by moving cables arround to
change the Power Supply??
