When I was in college, I left my new cockatiel on top of her cage while I ran
a short errand (I think I went to the bathroom next door). Her wings were
clipped, and she'd shown no desire to jump off the cage.
When I came back, no cockatiel. I searched everywhere, and was getting
really worried. Finally, she moved and made a little rustling noise. There
she was, in my closet, sitting on the edge of the hanging basket that held
all my cooking utensils, including several knives!
Needless to say, I spent quite some time rearranging things so I could close
the closet door!
