Fit a Bran Mash into the schedule whenever the weather changes or start them 
on a Physllium Seed husk routine. It helps keep the guyts going at all 
times.

The PSH's.. won't help with the swelling obviously.. but they'd help cut down 
on the impactions.

Yep, Straw is overly senstive to pain also.. 
 
BTW have you talked to your vet about keeping Dypiron or something around the 
house in case of emergency??
