Charles,
Sending in these canned Emails, the preprinted postcards from GOA and NRA,
etc. are 'OK', but an individually-written letter counts MUCH more with
congressfolks.
The Detroit News has a survey going on their Web site (www.detnews.com, if
you're interested) on a proposed CCW law in Michigan. They also invited
comments. I wrote a letter on their site, then perused others' letters. Most
of them have an Internet Email address, and I replied to a few of those
letters, a couple being anti-gun in nature.
I've received replies, one from one of the 'antis', allowing as maybe I had a
point and indicating that he WOULD do further research as I suggested.
The overall point is that we all as individuals must take every opportunity
to make our voices heard. It seems that the antis don't miss a chance, so we
must reply in kind. It's up to US, not just the NRA, GOA, and the other
formal organizations.
