As I said, I'm not good at pricing. I never know how to price things
because I don't know what it is worth to somebody, or what other
people price it at.
And it is a bit difficult to find these days.
CS>is all a bit off-topic so I'll close the thread. BTW, I just
CS>saw it at WalMart for about $70, so I guess we all know where
CS>the "bargains" are!
! Well, I guess Wal-mart just doesn't like the idea of selling software
at less than full retail price, even if it means having a bunch of old
software gathering dust. I bought mine from WalMart many years ago. It
was priced at $68 then.
One thing about DR-DOS 6.0 that I did really like, was that it had
passwording built right in! You could lock your files to keep others
out. Built right in. That's real handy when you've got a couple of
people using the same computer.
DR-DOS 6.0 is a bit off topic, but, just to keep this message on
topic so the moderator wont get mad ....
I might be willing to trade my copy for:
An IDE HD, 100m at least. To be used as a second drive.
Some registered shareware comm programs ({COMMO}, Telemate, Telix,
etc.) Preferably with letter of transference.
Turbo C++ for Windows, visual edition, or BC 3.1 (Or any other decent
C/C++ compiler, OTHER THAN TC++ 3.0 for DOS.)
A good WYSIWYG word processor for DOS. Such as GeoWrite.... I
used to use the V1.x under DR-DOS 6 and SuperStor and it ran fine, but
when I later moved to MS-DOS 6.2, it trashed my HD. It may have been
a fluke, but I don't really want to risk it again, so I'd prefer
something a bit newer, such as the 2.x version. I've never really
cared much about GEOS itself, but I've never had it all, just
GeoWrite. The word processor was fairly decent, but I had a hard
time finding fonts and clip art for it.
^^^^^^^^^^^ I used to live there. And until
about 5 years ago, my brother lived there and sold insurance...
