Correct, If you are going to take people on charters you are going to need 
to get a captains license.  If you are interested in learning how to navigate 
there are several books and instructional video tapes available.  I have 
Chapman's Piloting which has several chapters solely dedicated to navigation. 
  You may also want to look into a Power Squadron course which might be 
available in your area.
