TM> I saw that demo video too and it looked good to me. I'm using
TM> Miquon this year with my second grader and we've gone through the
TM> first three books and are well into the fourth. I want to pick up
TM> Saxon 4/5 for her when she's done with the Miquon, but thought I'd
TM> try to find a pre-owned Math-U-See to begin with my soon to be five
TM> year old next school year. The guy who presents the material is so
TM> clear and makes it so easy you just want to hit your head and say,
TM> duh, why didn't I think of that!
I saw Saxon, but prefer Math-U-See. It is expensive though, My 11 year
old saw the Math Demo and liked the way it was taught. I want my kids
to help tell me how they would like to be taught. That way I know they
will be more interested in what we are doing.

TM> Apogee has a similar game for spelling called Word Rescue that my
 TM> girls enjoy as well!

We have that too, but they aren't to crazy about it. They have trouble
with that kinda stuff so I will have a harder time finding a way to
 teach them words.
TM> I guess expensive is relative. . . thank goodness we have the whole
TM> summer to accumulate new material for next year. I'm probably
TM> either gonna do a catalog party for Usborne, or if it looks like my
TM> new location doesn't have a rep, I may sign up to sell it so I can
TM> get all the supplemental books I want. When you look through a
TM> company's catalog and say, "I want this, and this, and this. . . "
TM> it's time to consider a cheaper way to obtain it . TTYL!
 TM> Theresa
Your right, Thank Goodness we have the summer. My kids are going to play
softball and soccer this summer. I remember my 11 year old played softball
and some days it absolutely put him to sleep.
