subject: The future of comics

Well my friend, when the time comes, and it will, that a 36 page new
comic costs 4.95 a pop, I sure won't be buying them! If something that
once cost a mere ten cents can now cost one 20 times what they used to,
I believe that as long as a few thousand fans are willing to dig deep,
that IF print comics survive, it will be in very low runs of
10,000-15,000 copies, and at that, they will have to be the most big
name titles. Many titles today, are hanging on by a thread. The old fans
that I know, mostly buy only silver age now, while the kids I know, are
into vidio games & the net.The glory days of the printed comics are
over. I hate to say that, but I see package deals much like cable for
cyber comics, that will be far more apealing for those who just like to
read. Comics also take up a LOT of space, and that also will be
atractive to many who just dont have much storage space.
