They've been down for some time now.

Almost any current ATAPI CD-RW drive will work well. Just install physically
as you would a CD-ROM drive, follow the instructions with CDRecord from
Chris Wohlgemuth (free) http://www.os2world.com/cdwriting/index.htm> or the
commercial RSJ package http://www.rsj.de/stage/en/default.asp> on getting
it identified and "known" by your CD writing package, and away you go.
That's it.

My son got a 40-12-40 for US$25 last year, but I missed that sale. So I got
a 40-12-40 for $35 or so on a later sale.  You can get 50-24-50 for less
(around $20) now. I use CDRecord and have no coasters so far. I found it
easy to install, set up/configure, and use.
