Do you have MNP Class 10 disabled? Maybe if you dial with "TW"
instead of just "T" since I noticed a slight difference in the
initial timing at that point. BTW, NetComm has released a Flash ROM update
for their ProRack M34F modems (V2.67C, up from V2.61L) - haven't seen
anything for the desktop M34F units yet.
Just looking at the strings in the firmware data file, looks like things
such as caller ID, dual data/voice and enhanced security (ie., everything
in the supposed new series 28.8Kbps modems from NetComm) have been added in
a single firmware upgrade.
