| subject: | Re: Losing proxy setting |
From: "Ned" No, it's unchecked as there is no way for IE to automatically detect the proxy server. It has to be set manually. I'm looking at an option in the Hughes software to automatically fix any proxy errors, and perhaps that was getting confused. It's supposed to SET the proxy if it gets turned off, but maybe it started getting it backwards. I've turned that off to see what happens. I've also been running multiple browsers lately, so that may be contributing to the problem. -- -- Ned -- nreiter_AT_attglobal_DOT_net Association of Shareware Professionals developer member http://www.asp-shareware.org/ "Rich Gauszka" wrote in message news:40d2ef55$1{at}w3.nls.net... | Would the "automatically detect settings" checkbox make a difference (if | checked/unchecked)?. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
