Curiosity got the better of me, and unfortunately GMD won't detect
either of the problems I was hoping it would detect, although
there is a swag of things that it does detect, that Tobruk doesn't.
It found quite a few things in Keith's old packets! Anyway, I am
running it now, and it will delete what it detects as out-of-spec,
and then send a message to the "sysop" of that system. Unfortunately,
it seems to decide that the sysop of the system is responsible for
the integrity of the system, and sends the message to them, instead
of the point. What that means, is that it's ME that gets informed.
Yeah, right. I'm only actually running it on messages from points,
anyway. :-( Oh well, I'll forward the messages on.
NOTE - this does not abrogate your responsibility to conform to the
technical specs. If you find that you have difficulty conforming
to the specs, let me know and I might be able to offer some
solutions. Your number 1 priority is to conform to the spec. Any
other bells and whistles are secondary to that. The bells and
whistles are only of use if you actually have a source of mail.
