Hello Doug,
Replying to a message of Doug Reynolds to All:
DR> I have my bbs under OS/2 WARP 3 [with no real desire to upgrade to
DR> WARP 4], and I want to network it to my Windows 95 / FreeBSD box.
DR> I can network Windows 95 w/o a problem.
DR> I just don't know where to start with OS/2 though. From what I hear,
DR> the newer versions, WARP Connect and MERLIN, network fine. I just
DR> need to network regular WARP 3 [redspine box w/ fp #26].
DR> I tried to use Netware Requester/Client 2.11, but with little
DR> success..
Warp Connect is basically Warp 3 with MPTS and Novell and Internet tools.
MPTS (some of us pronounce it 'muppets') is Multi Protocol Transport Services
(I think - pretty close anyways). You will need it to 'attach' your NIC to
OS/2 (even for TCP/IP or Novell usage). You can get (or purchase) these
items separately - however, for ease of installation, I would recommend
upgrading to Warp Connect (if you can find a copy for sale).
Regards, Alec
