Like I said....check your state laws.  Illegal to tape record in Oregon
without the consent of all parties, with some exceptions:  public meetings
being one.
Remember that woman on the east coast that tape recorded a teen who
highjacked then killed her?  Believe it or not, in Oregon that tape
would have been illegally obtained.  
Even more unusual, clandestine taping is part of the wiretap 
statute.
... Either my watch has stopped or I'm in deep trouble.
