Hi. Veteran computer user. Virgin programmer. This visual stuff looks
like something I can handle. Or, at least, simple enough to not discourage
me from the start.

I want it to be fast, so my programs will run well. I want to be able to
configure my GUIs easily. And I think REXX would be a lot easier the C.

Does Watcom's VX-REXX sound right? Or should I bite the bullet and get
some sort of Visual C thing? If I'm going to learn one language, should
that be it? And is Visual C as friendly as Visual Basic, at least in
the basic construction of the GUIs.

Thanks a lot for the reply--Nick

PS--Are those guidelines what you expected? I'm a rookie as far as programming
but I learn quick!
