Paul, at 12:19 on May 09 1996, you wrote to David Drummond ... PE>> to do the same thing I do with MSGED. If someone reports a PE>> problem, if I am able to easily reproduce it, I will at PE>> least do that. DD>> Does Rod Speed ring the USR BBS? How would they reproduce DD>> his problem if he didn't? PE> All USR needs to do is ask Rod to ring (at his expense) the PE> USR BBS at a particular date + time, and then the ball is in PE> Rod's court. He has done that before with the Spirit II PE> problem. As it is USR merely chanted "Oh England, my PE> lionheart" and hoped that all bugs would magically disappear. PE> Not even one millionth the professionalism I show when asked PE> about a MSGED problem. You are in it for the kudos, USR are in it for the money. There is no point in them trying to solve a problem seen ONLY by Rod Speed and his antique modem. IF they fix the problem, Rod certainly isn't going to buy a USR. If they fix it and Rod Speed then has no problem connecting world wide to Courier modems, NOBODY else would buy one. It is NOT in the economic interests of USR to solve the Rod Speed modem anomoly.
