Are you seriously suggesting that their prior models didn't suffer from major problems? Like the M11F's known-buggy 04BC V.FC chipset, or ALL the Series 3 models which incorporated V.42bis over MNP4, making them useless with EVERY modem other than another piece-of-shit Series 3? Or their previously nasty habit of charging $400 for a ROM (i.e. board) upgrade?
