Funny. I can never figure out what is wrong on a Windows system because
neither the error messages nor the system as a whole give useful
diagnostics. No such problem on Linux - actually, a lot of documentation
does exist and there are lots of newsgroups and mailing lists where one can
find help.

Depends on what they did, I guess. A clean install works better than the
