WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to try enabling adaptive answer on the Viper between
4pm and 5pm this Sunday. This is a chance for you to test your
modem to see whether it can handle the Viper. You can then send
your complaints in to me, and I will decide what to do. I am
expecting no-one to call, and no-one to complain, which means I
will assume that the Viper works fine as adaptive answer, and
enable that some time after Sunday, Tuesday at the earliest.
The results of this test will likely decide whether I make the
Netcomm/Viper swap. Let's put it this way, if I can't get
adaptive answer working, I'm not interested in the Viper, I'd
rather have the Netcomm. And then I will attempt to return or
sell the Netcomm, and buy a Yum Cha modem. Someone offered to
buy the modem off me a couple of months ago (the ISP in fact),
but I wasn't willing to sell at that time, didn't think I'd given
Netcomm a fair go.
BTW, what Yum Cha modems are recommended? BFN. Paul.
