You're mistaken. The NFL, as well as the NBA, have limited anti-trust 
exemption. The NFL lost it for a while when the union decertified itself but 
got it back after they struck and deal and the NFLPA was re-certified. Their 
exemption isn't as good as MLB but it's good enough.
