| subject: | Carol of the Bells |
Hello Tom - I've made up a new version of "Carol of the Bells" using the Roland Corp bell sounfonts to replace the tubular bells from my original and used the 16meg 'Merlin' soundfonts for the other instruments. This sounds more 'bell-like' to me but I'll let you be the final judge of that. :-) Just to save you some time in the event you do not like this version enough to want to do the larger download(s) I made up a streaming version at 40kbps abr MP3 that will be of slightly lower quality sound but not as bad as most would think. http://www.devedia.com/dosghost/ram/cotbells.m3u I then made up an 'r3mix' custom MP3 that varies up to a maximum of 256kbps that is so close to the WAV (CD audio) you may have a hard time hearing the difference. :-) It's only 3.5 meg in size, not small but not as large as the WAV file and almost the same quality (MP3s at 128kbps are considered acceptable by zealots and this one doubles that). http://www.devedia.com/dosghost/carolofthebells_2_vbr.mp3 And, because it is Christmas and the mail probably wouldn't reach you before the end of the holidays, I have put the WAV file on the server at devedia if you can tolerate a 35meg download and burn that as CD audio (320kbps approximately). This would be as 'good' as this recording can sound. :-) http://www.devedia.com/dld/carolofthebells_2.wav If you would prefer some adjustments or a totally difference set of 'bell' sounds I can try but I may not be able to finish before this Christmas although I might be lucky enough to find some other good bell soundfonts. When you have the files you need/want let me know so that I can remove these and recover the space on the server? > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
