Ever notice how few kids fail the classroom part of driver ed? Ever
notice how few kids fail the written part of the drivers' license exam?
You are correct: motivation has a lot to do with it, and we shouldn't
forget that. The trick is making kids think that the math test is as
important as the drivers' ed test.
