I've done both - but for the most part have logged on as Knoppix user.

Yup, figured that one out all by myself.   :)

Which is why I only tried to somethings that were mentioned in some FAQ's - 
but they didn't work either.  :(

Oddly, I did that part fine.  Had no problems with the dialer or even the
