I'm not sure why you're getting the "Permission Denied" error. It was
rumored that  OS/2 doesn't allow a running .EXE to be written to, but
this is apparently not the case, according to what I've read. In any
event, you probably don't want to do that though, because even if the
program were able to do it, in a low memory situation OS/2 loads parts
of the .EXE that it needs, and then discards them, which I think would
have a bearing on whether your writes to the .EXE file would actually
get saved to disk.
