I know you decleare variables on the fly but do I need to allocate
any ram for it? If so how do I do this, and if I don't need to.
How many 'TOTAL's do I get before I run outta room?
*----------------------------------------------------------------------*
You don't actually declare ANY variables in REXX. It is all done for you
automatically. Similarly, there is no storage allocation capability in
REXX because none is required. Storage is allocated and release
dynamically.

If you are asking what the limit is to the value stored in the variable
abc.TOTAL, there is virtually no limit to the length of the string. If
you use the contents of A REXX string for an arithmetic expression, it
will handle any size number subject to the NUMERIC DIGITS setting which
has a default of 9. You can forget everything you know about ULong vs.
UShort when programming in REXX.
