   Far from attempting to NULLify your rules, I have attempted to comply with
this admonition to the best of my ability!!!  It may be that the Fidonet
bosses are chafing at the bits to get rid of Fidonet so they can provide
access to the internet.  This is (grin) my considered, philosophical view.
