BG> Yes Paul, I notice the difference just fine. I also notice that you rather
BG> conveniently neglected to include the part where you specifically blame the
BG> Courier for that, as well as many other problems. What a surprise!
BG> Unlike some people, I don't search my message base daily to find
BG> contradictory comments, but that was my recollection. However, I'm quite
BG> happy to concede that it may have been Rod who specifically blamed the
BG> Courier, and that you simply agreed with him.
On the contrary, if you had read messages in AUST_MODEM, I actually
said that Rod was wrong for saying that it was "definitely" a USR
fault. If I had to bet, I would say that it was a USR fault, but
I wouldn't be surprised at all if I lost the bet.
PE> Oh, and the onus is on both companies to investigate the problem.
BG> With V.32terbo, I don't think that anybody could really give a fuck, and as
BG> the problem doesn't exist with later Supras, why would they bother ?
The problem is actually with V32bis. Rod isn't trying to get a
V32terbo connection, he's trying to get a V32bis connection. That
is not an unreasonable thing to want to do.
PE> Neither company is worth the paper it prints the warranty on.
BG> Dunno, USR's shares in the US went up a massive 37c to $1.71 the other day,
BG> so somebody certainly disagrees with your opinion re the company's worth.
You may have noticed that Microsoft shares also have performed
superbly in the past. Had very little to do with whether Windows
3.1 was better than OS/2. Had to do with how well the company
could gouge the market. BFN. Paul.
