Hi, Tom.
 TR> Peachy! I thought you had a Courier, though. Oh well...Oh, it's
TR> me that's got the Courier! Duuuhhh! :-)
For a simple user it doesn't make a lot of difference having a Courier
or a Sportster.
TR> How did he get Zmodem to work?
With my Sportster at DCE rate = 14400 bps and DTE rate = 57600 bps, and
V.42/V.42bis, I've got 1650 cps downloading a zip (deflated) archive and
4140 cps downloading a non-compressed BBS file list, both downloaded to
the ramdisk.
TR> I know it wouldn't work with the RS-232 on the serial bus. When
TR> the drive takes off, the modem goes deaf. So, streaming protocols
 TR> wouldn't work.
That's what you knew when you used a C128. Maybe it's different now.
TR> Does that Turbo232 do any kind of buffering besides the FIFO on the
 TR> UART, if any?
I don't know. You would have to read the specs for the 6551 ACIA and the
Turbo232.
TR> Oh well...So it goes. :-( We probably oughtta end this or move it
 TR> to NetMail.
It's better to move it to the CBM or CBM-128 echoes. See you there.
