KB>BM> Toad" was my absolute favorite from my first visit, and I'm
KB>BM> reluctant to publicly change that opinion.
KB> Oh, I always loved Toad! That was a really GREAT ride! I say "was"
KB> because it seems to have changed many times over the years to speed
KB> it up and things and it really doesn't seem the same to me. It
KB> alright now, but really not nearly as good as it used to be back
KB> when they took the TIME to tell you the story.
Gee, I kinda like the new "Toad". I really like what they did to the
exterior with the thatched roof and the queue area in Toad Hall. You do
admit that the new 3-D animated figures are better than the old ones
painted on flats, don't you? I also am particularly fond of the new town
square where you circle the fountain. At least it wasn't "improved" out
of existance like "Inner Space".
KB> I went on [Inner Space] for the enchantment of it. I could suspend
KB> logic for a short time and actually believe that I was being shrunk.
KB> I lost some tickets once and thought that pershaps they had not been
KB> restored to me after being shrunk. "Inner Space", for me, could be
KB> taken on face-value and still loved.
I suppose it was just the jaundiced age I was when they opened "Inner
Space", but the overdramatic soundtrack was just a little too much for
me to suspend disbelief and enjoy. I did have a few visit where I found
the contents of my wallet had shrunk while I was at the Park--perhaps it
was IS that did it!
KB> The first time I showed up at Disneyland when it wasn't there I felt
KB> personally cheated. I felt the Disneyland folks had done something
KB> to ME. I liked the rest of the park, but something great was
KB> missing.
That's exactly how I felt about the Mine Train.
