| subject: | Chicago vs OS/2 (Advertising) |
Thought some of you may find this interesting:
-----[ snip, snip ]-----
Actually IBM is supposably going to unveil a new ad campaign at about the
sametime as Personal OS/2 comes out in release. I've heard about one of the
ads, and it's pretty vicious (I will not, however, relate what's supposed
to be in it since it's not mine to tell). I suspect it'll continue along
the lines of what's here at COMDEX:
IBM's bags have a picture of Chicago's skyline, with the word "Chicago"
beside it. Overlaying that is the OS/2 logo (note- both are at the
"trademarked" 39 degrees or whatever the angle is). Beneath that
is the slogan:
OS/2
Been There,
Done That.
I think I'll finally be able to get the T-shirt with the same logo(s) on
it tomorrow. They keep on running out at ~11:30 am every morning.

Now, why can't IBM Australia come up with any good ideas?
