subject: OS/2 Warp v4 & Win95 Peer Troubles.

CM> Here's as far as I've made it. In Win95 under Network
CM> Neighborhood, the OS/2 machine (Machine1) shows up. If I double-
CM> click on it I get the message: "\\Machine1 not accessable. The
CM> computer or sharename could not be found.
Win95 doesnt "see" my other machine in the network neighbourhood, but it
never has a problem connecting shared drives to it.
Mine were there under 3.1 using IBM's DOS Lan Services (snagged it from a
DEMO disk of Warp Connect Server - it's amazing what you find on demo disks),
and when I "upgraded" to Win95, those file share settings were migrated to
95.
Net result: Win95, even though it can't see my OS/2 system, still nicely
shares drives.
Have you ensured that you have a common protocol (like NETBEUI) installed on
both machines? Personally, I tied both NETBEUI and TCP/IP to the network on
both machines....
Have you tried going into Explorer and manually entering the path of the
share you want?
