I had him type on his WinXP Home box (using his IP address for that box):

\\207.105.135.8
  and hit enter. He got:

"The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax was incorrect"

I tried a similar thing on my NT box and got:

C:\>\\207.105.135.10
The system cannot find the path specified.
