 There presence is fading but at one time the MAC had the Education
market all to their selves basicly. And of course odffering Very
Serious Discounts through the University Bookstore on Mac hardware adn
software didn't hurt. I know when I worked  i nthe Local VA Hospital
Engineering Department we were right next to the UCSD campus. Several I
knew with a MAc were making friends with Students so they could buy what
they wanted for their Mac. :-)
