Three guesses. She got her d_____ band caught and mutilated the leg. Dr.J. 
couldn't do the surgery to remove the foot bacause of the loss of blood 
causing ememia. The joint was swelling, trying to reject the foot.
This happened three weeks ago tomorrow. I have been treating her at home with 
local ointment and shots twice a day. The swelling has gone down, the leg 
doesn't look great, but not worse. There has been progress.
In my opinion, the worse preditor to captive birds is the band that they 
ear.
I would like to get stastics on how many legs have been removed, or how many 
birds have died because of them...and on, and on, and on.
