Craig Swanson Mumbled Something to Neil Spring about C++ / threads CS> DosCreateThread() knows nothing about the C/C++ runtime libraries. CS> When you use it, no semaphores are set up to assist in proper CS> multithread usage of the C/C++ runtime routines. On the other CS> hand,_beginthread() does correctly set up semaphores that should allow CS> C/C++ runtime routines to be used in a multithreaded environment if CS> you compiled the program with multithread support enabled. Craig, Do you know of any book/publication that will explain the concepts of threads and programming in a multithreaded environment. I don't fully understand the concepts, and would like to see if it would be useful in future projects. Thanks, Rick Cooke ...
